Teachers TV Search for Programmes

Categories:

Since blogging about Teachers TV a year and a half ago, (Teachers TV launches on 8th February 2005) the channel and supporting website has 'come of age' and is tremendously popular amongst teaching professionals.

Several initiatives are now in place and look to be very useful and informative.

If you register online, you can search, watch and download some archived Teachers TV programmes using the Video Library and inclass tv feature.

In fact, you can search for programmes using this form:

or browse by category...

Consider also, Teachers TV - Become an Associate, where there are opportunities to become more involved with programmes, chances to see advance screenings and attend special events. There is also a CPD section called 'My CPD'.

Hello Mark,

Thanks for posting here. It's interesting you mention that Teachers' TV is built on the Drupal CMS architecture. When I registered for the Associates section, I thought I was familiar with some of the Drupal system messages or perhaps it was the tabs running across the top. :-)

Drupal is so extensible, that I think it makes it an ideal candidate for building websites, I for one, enjoy that capability. I am sure you have customised Drupal quite a lot to meet the needs of your users. I'd be quite interested to know what modules you have adapted or written yourselves.

Yes, we've developed plenty of additional modules, some of which are candidates for contribution back to the Drupal project. You're right about Drupal's extensibility; we've barely needed to alter any core modules.

Incidentally, you may be interested to know that Jonathan's Blog was our 4th highest external referrer in October. Once again, thanks for the link! ;)

Hello Mark,

Wow, that's quite impressive to report I was 4th highest referrer... I think Teachers' TV is truly great in what it has achieved and the service is provides to teachers and professionals, so I have no problems with reporting this to others. Heaps more to do of course, but TTV is heading in the right direction - would love to contribute to the programme in some way.

My school, Stepping Stones, is doing some innovative work with pupils with Hemiplegia and technology - would be great to feature this institution somewhere along the line perhaps?
