'About Me' Podcasts from Class JF9 and Internet Safety for children, teachers and parents
This week has been a 'getting to know each other' type week and Class JF9 have been working incredibly hard find different ways in which they can communicate information about themselves. Pupils have used Podcasting to record information about themselves and place this online so that it can be listened to online.
We have understood that by placing it online, there is a much greater audience for their work. We have spent this week learning about Internet safety too, and pupils have made posters helping to remind themselves about what information they should or shouldn't share with others. I printed a few different examples of posters already produced and freely available from this excellent Childnet International website.
This is the first time many of the children will have used a computer to record their voice, and for all of them, this is their first experience of podcasting! The pupils used an Apple MacBook Pro and the excellent PhotoBooth application for taking pictures with the built-in iSight camera.
